OUR BELIEFS

• We believe there is one God who lives forever in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Matt 28:19; 2 Cor 13:14

• We believe that the whole Bible, though written by man, is a message from God to us. It is true and the final authority in all matters of what we believe and how we should live. 2 Tim 3:16; 2 Pet 1:21; Rom 3:2

• We believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ the Son, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His death for us on the cross, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His ascension to the Father in heaven, and His personal, physical return to rule the earth in power and love. Matt 1:18; John 1:14-18; 1 Thes 4:14-18; 1 Cor 15:3-4; 51-53
  

• We believe that man was created in the image of God, that he sinned, and by sinning, brought on himself and the human race a debt, which results in not only physical death, but also in separation from God, a spiritual death. Gen 1:26-27; 2:16-17; Rom 5:12, 18-19

• We believe that Jesus Christ died for our sins and because of His death our debt is cancelled, our ransom is paid, our freedom obtained and our sins forgiven through His blood. 1 Cor 15:3; Eph 1:7

• We believe that a person becomes a child of God by trusting Jesus and the forgiveness He provides. Jn 3:16; Rom 10:9-10; Eph 2:8-9 Doing things God’s way becomes a way of life. Gal 15:24; 1 Jn 1:8-9

• We believe that there will be a bodily resurrection of both believers and unbelievers in the end-time; believers unto eternal life and unbelievers unto eternal judgment and separation from God. Matt 25:31-46; 1Thes 4:13-18; Rev 20:11-15

• We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person and that He is God and co-equal with the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit lives in every believer in Jesus Christ, bringing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, humility, and self-control into our lives. He is our abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. Eph 1:13; Gal 5:22-23; Jn 14:16,17,26; Jn 16:13

• We believe that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are active today and are given to believers for the building up of the “body”, a group of Christians called the Church. The Holy Spirit works in and through believers with His charismatic gifts. Rom 12:6-8; 1 Cor 12:7-11; 14:39; Eph 4:11-13; 1 Pet 4:8-11

• We believe in the priesthood of all believers. 1 Pet 2:9

• We believe that marriage is the basic human relationship between a man and a woman, and as such is intended to reflect the relationship between Jesus Christ the Bridegroom and His bride the church. Gen 2:18-25; Eph 5:25-32

• We believe in the spiritual unity of all believers in our Lord Jesus Christ and that all barriers of race, gender, and social status are abolished in Christ. 1Cor 12:12-13; Gal 3:26-28
